How to grow Mango at home quickly and easily!
Materials Needed:
- A very sharp knife
- A couple of sheets of blotting paper
- Some water
- A clear plastic container
- Transparent film
Obtaining the Mango Seed:
When preparing a mango for consumption, the seed is often overlooked. However, for this endeavor, handling the seed with care is crucial.
- If the fruit is very ripe, make an incision along the perimeter, avoiding the stone. Rotate the two halves to release the seed.
- If the pulp is firmer, make slices while ensuring not to touch the stone, gradually releasing it.
Once you have the coveted seed, extract the inside, being cautious not to damage it. Typically, there is a slit on the outer part. Begin from there, opening it to extract the internal pulp in one whole piece.
Treating the Seed for Plant Growth:
- Gently wrap the mango seed in a couple of sheets of absorbent paper.
- Place it inside the plastic container and moisten the entire paper towel with water using your hands or a spray bottle. Ensure it is well-soaked but not overly saturated.
- Wrap the entire container with transparent film to create a mini greenhouse, maintaining optimal temperature and humidity conditions for the seed.
- Position the container in a well-lit area, away from direct sunlight.
- In approximately ten days, witness the emergence of the first shoots, marking the beginning of your beautiful mango plant’s growth journey.
